Painting a Song Series
On-going series started in July 2022.
I was driving home from work one day listening to “19” by Stray Kids and I was thinking about how some songs can evoke images.
This thought lead to an idea for a series of paintings where I painted what I saw/felt.
This is that series.
The process for each painting is a little different depending on the song.
Some songs bring about colors and shapes while others take me to a certain place and time.
Some paintings take only a couple of hours while others have taken me closer to six or seven.
